My background is: my dad was a Covenant until he passed. He never preached against LGBT in church or at home. I was saved when I was a sophomore in HS, then went to North Park, worked part-time at Swedish Covenant Hospital between semesters. Many of my family were in the Covenant and some still are, the younger ones.
Thank you for your courage and following Christ. Someone once said there are about 7 to 9 “clobber passages and over 505 passages addressing “Love”. Even more telling us that God created us to love us and to serve Him. I am a born again believer and I am gay. Now I am following Christ as much as my human self lets me and you know what? I had walked away from Him for about 30 years after I got out of the Army but he has welcomed be home with open arms, is blessing me and even have experienced miracles. Now that you are out of the Covenant web of deceit, keep loving the Covenant Church and know that Christ Church is going to grow q and grow because now you as a pastor are doing the work that the Holy Spirit has placed in your heart.
