I came out 4 years ago and found there to be much condemnation from my former Covenant church family. Therefore I have been searching for a home church for the past four years. Worshiping in a Covenant church is what I long for and I can do that as long as no one knows who I really am. Just as I say that, I believe that is what the church is full of, people who cannot let themselves be known who they really are. I would love it if a group of gay Covenanters could get together for coffee in St. Paul, Minnesota. Do any of you know how to make that happen?

You are one of the many gifted and faithful people our church has lost. But in one sense you will always belong in the hearts of many of us. Blessings and thanks.

Thank you for sharing, I understand so completely what you are saying.

Getting into family, faith, sexuality, and conflict areas with honesty can be so hard – but I am so encouraged by the conversation, and by people like you who are courageous enough to share. – Liz
