Paul, what a beautiful story! Thank you for being willing to pay the price for defending justice and inclusion for GLBT people and for loving as as we (some of us, anyway) know God loves us. If there is to be any hope for those who have suffered rejection and hurt at the hands of churches to ever come to understand how much God loves them, we need more people like you. Bless you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Rev. Paul Corner, your congregation is blessed to have you. You have a true heart for God; a lion in standing for what is just, and a shepherd to gently care for all of the wounded and lost lambs. Bless you for your courage in writing. I only pray other members of the clergy in our denomination will take this moment to speak what is on their hearts which may not be the “party line.” We can only be inspired by those in the past who risked it all in the name of Jesus.
